LG Levitating Portable Speaker PJ9
LG launched its new Bluetooth portable speaker at CES 2017. The speaker is embedded with electromagnets, which allows the speaker to hover overs its base. The speaker will float and play music simultaneously for up to 10 hours on a full charge. When the battery reaches the minimum level, the speaker will slowly descend back to its base, while the music continues to play. The speaker begins to recharge as soon as it lands on Levitation Station.
The PJ9 speaker is portable, so you can transport it from room to room or outside. Yes, the speaker can play music outside, since it is IPX7 compliant. You will be surprised to discover that the IPX7 rating has something in common with the Apple Watch. This similarity means the device can safely be immersed for up to 30 minutes in water depths of 1 meter. Users will be able to utilize the speaker near the pool or during the rain, without worrying about water damage.
According to LG, the Levitation Station will act as a subwoofer, with “flush mid-range tones and crisp range”. This capability is contributed to the embedded Passive Radiator Technology. There is no word on availability and price as of yet, more details visit the company’s official website.
