Nokia Announces The Launch Its First Smartwatch – Withings Steel HR

By   September 8, 2016

Nokia purchased Withings in April 2016 for $191 million. This purchase was no doubt a great investment for the company, since Withings had already established its name in the consumer technology industry. Just today, the company announced the launch of another addition to their Steel series Smart watches. The Steel HR is a predecessor of the Activite’ Activity and Sleep Tracking Smart Watch, with a slightly similar design. The Steel series Smart watch offers classy dress attractiveness, but its functionality is slightly limited to that of the Apple Smartwatch.

However, some individuals are willing to sacrifice on the lesser functionality, just to own a fashionably designed timepiece. You also have those consumers that previously invested in Samsung and Apple Smartwatches, only to discover that they never utilized all of the embedded features. In this case, the sacrifice would be minuscule.

The Steel HR is an all-in-one health and fitness tracker, with an analog dial and sub-dial. The watch will monitor your pulse, sleep pattern, and automatically track your run distance. The water resistant seal to 50 meters will provide users with the convenience of jumping in the pool and doing a deep-water workout, without needing to stash the watch in a safe location beforehand. The Steel HR is available in several sizes, including 36mm and 40mm. Leather and silicone bands will also be available, so you can personalize your watch to suit your style.

Should you take the plunge and invest in an intuitive analog Smartwatch, let it be the Steel HR. The release date will be October 1st, so be sure to head over to the Withings’ official website and sign up for updates.
