Vivint Smart Home, a Utah-based technology company, was named one of the “World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2017”. Amazon earned the top spot, followed by Google, Uber, Apple, Snap and Facebook. Netflix, Twillio, Chobani and Spotify rounded up the top 10. Alibaba earned the No. 11 spot, followed by Tencent and Xiaomi.
IBM earned the No. 21 and Vivint Smart Home the No. 22 spot. According to Fast Company, Vivint earned a spot of the “for opening the door to the connected home of the future” list. Vivint’s profile page on the Fast Company platform shows its success is contributed to superb customer service and flex-pay option, a flexible monthly installment plan.
Vivint Smart Home’s chief strategy and innovation officer, Matt Eyring, says he hopes Smart Home technology will become more mainstream in the coming years.

According to company, in 2016, its customer base had reached over one million customers in Canada and the United States. Forbes named Vivint as one of “America’s Best Employers” and in 2013, one of the “Most Promising Companies”.
The Vivint SkyControl Panel is the center of the home network, creating a gateway between the user and all the connected devices and products. Consumers can create a home automation package that suits their needs and preferences, selecting from an array of gadgets, including the Vivint Element Thermostat, Vivint Ping Camera, Kwikset Smart Lock and Vivint Doorbell Camera.
The Vivint Smart Home Cloud provides a centralized control and mobile application for remote access and push notifications.
